Citizens Advice | Alice's story
Short campaign film
Summary
Alice, 20 – a young woman who went from being a typical 20-year-old to the full-time carer for her younger brother and sister after losing her dad.
With no family left to support them, she stepped up as their legal guardian, but the journey hasn’t been easy.
Alice turned to Redbridge Foodbank for help, we were able to connect her with Citizens Advice Redbridge for guidance on her new responsibilities.
They connected her with a family law solicitor, helped her navigate government resources for wills and probate, and provided foodbank vouchers to ease the financial strain of caring for two kids on one income.
In collaboration with Citizens Advice Redbridge and the Trussell Trust Foodbank, I directed and shot this short campaign film, told from the perspective of a frontline advisor.
Based on a true story, we chose to work with actors to bring the narrative to life. Balancing authenticity with a cinematic approach to storytelling.
To showcase the work Citizens Advice and Redbridge foodbank were able to do in able to get Alice the help she needed!
