Citizens Advice | Miss C's story

Short campaign film
Summary

We hear the story of a former client who when faced with notice seeking possession of her home had nowhere else to turn.
When she came to Redbridge Foodbank because she couldn’t afford food, it wasn’t just the food that made a difference.

One of the volunteers took the time to listen to her story and connected her with Citizens Advice Redbridge, where she learned she was entitled to support payments. Thanks to the help from Citizens Advice Redbridge and Redbridge Foodbank, she now feels like she’s getting her life back on track and holds her head a bit higher.

The Project

In collaboration with Citizens Advice Redbridge and the Trussell Trust Foodbank, I directed and shot this short campaign film, told from the perspective of a frontline advisor.

Based on a true story, we chose to work with actors to bring the narrative to life. Balancing authenticity with a cinematic approach to storytelling.

By sharing these stories we hope to raise awareness of not only the issues but also the solutions. Places like Redbridge Foodbank, can not only to provide food but to offer support that helps people regain hope and stability.
