Since 2021, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Creative Basildon, producing a wide range of video content that documents and celebrates their artistic and cultural projects across the community. So when the team announced they were bringing Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon to Basildon, I knew immediately that it was a perfect opportunity for a short documentary—and pitched the idea right away.

The goal was to not only capture the beauty and scale of the installation itself, but also to highlight the vibrant community engagement that unfolded throughout the month-long event. From immersive workshops to local reactions, the film explores how public art can transform shared spaces and spark imagination across generations.

It was a real privilege to document such an inspiring project and continue telling the story of how creativity is shaping Basildon’s cultural identity.
